v1 DRAFT — pending founder and legal review. Not yet in force. The substance below reflects how the program runs today; the exact legal language will be finalized after counsel reviews it.
Vol. I · Affiliate Terms · v1 draft · under review

Affiliate terms & FTC disclosure.

These terms govern your participation in the Zim Zam Labs affiliate program. By applying, you agree to them — and to the disclosure responsibility every affiliate carries under US law. They are written to be honest and easy to read, not to trap you.

§ I

Who can join.

Eligibility. You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to participate. You agree to give us accurate contact information and, when a payout requires it, accurate tax information.

Two tiers. Individuals — creators, students, friends, and family — join and are approved on the spot. Mosques and Islamic centers join as verified organizations; we confirm the masjid is real by hand before the 20% tier is approved.

§ II

Commission & discount.

What you earn. Individual affiliates earn 10% of the post-discount subtotal on every qualifying sale made through their referral link. Mosque affiliates earn 20% — the standard 10% plus an additional 10% Zim Zam Labs contributes from its own margin, routed to the masjid.

What your community gets. Everyone who buys through your link gets 10% off their order. Commission is calculated on the subtotal after that discount is applied, before shipping and tax.

§ III

How sales are attributed.

30-day last-click. When someone clicks your referral link, a cookie credits their purchase to you for up to 30 days. If they later click a different affiliate's link, the most recent click wins. If they buy without any referral cookie, there is no discount and no commission.

A customer who clears their cookies or shops in a private browser may not carry the attribution — that is a limit of how browsers work, not a policy choice.

§ IV

Your FTC disclosure.

You must disclose. US law (the FTC endorsement guidelines) requires you to clearly and conspicuously disclose that you earn a commission every time you share your referral link or recommend our product — in posts, reels, stories, videos, livestreams, emails, group chats, and direct messages. If our affiliates do not disclose, the FTC holds the brand responsible too, so we take this seriously.

What counts. A visible note such as “I earn a commission,” “paid partnership,” “#ad,” or “affiliate” — placed where people will actually see it, not buried in a hashtag wall or behind “see more.” The disclosure should be in the same language as your recommendation, and spoken aloud in videos and live streams.

§ V

When you get paid.

Clearing period. A commission is held through a 30-day clearing period that matches the return window. During that time it shows as pending on your dashboard.

Refunds & chargebacks. If the underlying order is refunded or charged back, the commission is cancelled. If it had already been paid out, that amount becomes a balance netted against your future payouts.

Getting paid. Once a commission clears, it becomes payable and we pay you. We arrange the payout method and timing with you directly. We will publish a fixed payout schedule and minimum here once our automated payout system is in place; until then, payouts are handled individually.

§ VI

Taxes & the W-9.

W-9 before payout at $600. Once your cumulative payouts reach $600 in a calendar year, US tax rules require us to collect a W-9 before paying you further and to issue a 1099-NEC for the year. We will ask for your W-9 before a payout crosses that threshold. We never collect tax ID numbers over plain email — we will share a secure way to submit it.

You are responsible for any taxes owed on the amounts you receive.

§ VII

How you may & may not promote.

Promote honestly. Share in good faith, with a clear disclosure, and never claim more than what we have said about the product. The following will result in withheld commissions and removal from the program:

  • Self-referral or commission farming — buying through your own link, or arranging purchases whose real purpose is to earn yourself commission. The buyer still gets the discount; no commission is earned.
  • Spam — unsolicited bulk email or DMs.
  • Misrepresentation — false or misleading claims about health, efficacy, or the product, or claiming an endorsement or partnership beyond what we have granted.
  • Trademark & paid-search abuse — bidding on Zim Zam Labs brand terms in paid search, registering trademark or typosquat domains, or impersonating the brand.
  • Attribution manipulation — cookie stuffing or any artificial click or attribution tactics.
§ VIII

Changes & termination.

We may update these terms. We may change these terms or end the program at any time. When the operative terms change, we may ask you to accept them again; continued participation after a change means you accept the update.

Either of us may leave. You or Zim Zam Labs may end your participation at any time. Commissions that have already accrued, cleared, and not been clawed back remain payable on termination.

§ IX

An honest note.

This is a v1 draft, pending review by the founders and legal counsel. It has not yet been vetted by a lawyer and is not yet in force. The substance above reflects how the program actually runs today; the exact legal language and governing-law details will be finalized once that review is complete.
